Our clients didn’t need another plan or even another practitioner. They needed a whole-person approach that combined nourishment, mindset, movement, and deep inner work.
That’s what led us to create The Balanced Lab. A place where women not only have access to a supportive therapist and dietitian team, but also a like-minded community of women walking the same journey toward a more grounded, empowering, and aligned version of wellness.
We met right out of grad school while working at an eating disorder treatment center and immediately gravitated toward each other. From day one, we were already collaborating on how we could make our clients’ lives better.
As we moved to work in private practice and other organizations (Gaby focusing on nutrition, Jackie on therapy), we knew something was missing. What we saw in our clients, again and again, were smart, driven women who felt completely overwhelmed by the constant noise and contradiction around health. They were trying everything they were told and still felt frustrated, stuck, and unhappy.
